As aired on the DIY SOS home improvement show in January 2013, the nine-member family has a three-bedroom home containing only one bathroom, which was a huge strain. DIY SOS took the project to extend and refurbish the house to suit the much larger family and also extended an invitation to Roman to participate.
The refurbishment project added two additional showering facilities, including a downstairs shower room and an en-suite shower room off the previous main bedroom. As the bathrooms are smaller in size, and squeezed into tight spaces, Roman Limited used products which were space-efficient. In order to reduce the energy bills of the family, water-efficient products were used.
Orbital range from Roman, which offers a number of cleverly designed Enclosures and Bath Screens have been used in the bathrooms, which helped in solving common space problems in the bathroom. The inward opening 760mm Orbital Bi-fold door has also been used in the bathrooms.
Orbital Folding Bath Screen, which offers a stylish over bath showering facility, has been installed in the main bathroom. To complement these products, Roman also supplied one of their stylish shower valves, which is registered on the BMA's Water Label Scheme and shower trays to suit the enclosures.
Upgraded with Roman Limited products, the finished bathrooms exhibit a designer finish.
