His portraits of pool-plunging pooches have made a big splash with animal lovers, and on December 19th famed photographer Seth Casteel (Underwater Dogs) will help homeless pets in the Chicago area picture a brighter tomorrow.
Chicago?s original pet boutique barker & meowsky invites fans of the photographer?s work to nibble on palate-pleasing appetizers from Kincaid?s Bar and Grill and tap their feet to the beat of jazz tunes from Danny Leman, Tim Gant and Don Leman at the New York Time?s best-selling author?s presentation and book signing, which will be held at Chicago Art Source.
Casteel, who has been quoted as saying ?I just really like dogs. They inspire me. I wish I could be a dog, but I can?t, so I will do my best to live like one.? is not only a proud pet parent to two tail-waggers, but also a man on a mission to save live with snaps through SecondChancePhotos.org. ?Taking part in the happening with heart,?a?portion of the proceeds from the photographer?s book signing and presentation will benefit Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control (FCACC).
When: December 19, 2012 from 6 p.m. ? 9 p.m.
Where: Chicago Art Source at 1871 North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago, Illinois
