The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our consulting team in Calgary. This role will involve working directly for some of the major oil and gas companies in Alberta. We offer the opportunity to be involved in conceptual studies for SAGD Bitumen Production, Oil Sands Upgrading, Midstream Operations and CO2 Capture. In addition you will have opportunities to trouble shoot plant operations for our Tier 1 client?s and evaluate new and existing technologies for development.

Job description
We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic people to:
Provide expertise all the way through engineering phases from conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
Design oil and gas / petrochemical facilities including primary and secondary processing.
Deliver engineering in line with project requirements and Ausenco?s engineering standards.
Prepare process calculations and develop PFDs, Heat & Material balances and P&IDs.
Size and specify major process equipment.
Develop basic engineering designs and specifications under general supervision on assigned contracts.
Skills, qualifications and experience
Your attributes and accomplishments will include:
A relevant Engineering degree (chemical) and is registered or eligible to register with professional engineering association(s).
A minimum of 5 years? experience in Oil & Gas engineering design business, gained in an EPC environment, either with an EPC contractor or operating company.
Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
Proven ability to work as part of a team.
